You may wonder or ask yourself how difficult is it to sell house by owner?  Well, I can answer this question for you.  While you have probably talked to several real estate agents whom may have tried to convince you just how impossible it is to sell your own home, I can testify it is not that difficult.  Of course they want you to believe this because it's their business to sell real estate.  The reality is that thousands of home owners have success in the sell house by owner method.

If you are considering selling your own home, it's very important to let as many people know about the sale as possible.  Just placing a simple "For Sale" signage in your front yard is not enough.  Of course, your neighbors will know you are selling but what are the chances of a neighbor buying your house?  Not very likely to say the least.

Both eBay and Craig list are free to list to sell house by owner.  Be sure your research includes methods of others successful methods.  For example, how many photos did they post on their ad?  Was their ad descriptive?  What do you like most about the property?  How does the add accentuate the home?

Browse eBay and Craig list and compare how many others have used these services to sell house by owner.  Has anyone posted a video?  Would a video of the interior and exterior be more appealing to the buyer?  These are all important questions to consider.  By visiting other "open houses", you will be able to pick up some tips and learn how others have priced their property. 

An attorney is a must when it comes to the entire legal process in the selling of your home.  Be sure to tell the attorney that you are selling your own house and inquire about whether they can offer any helpful hints for success in this process.  Don't be surprised how much knowledge attorneys have when it comes to both sides of selling property.
